Okay so I'm really sorry for not updating the past few weeks, or not being vewry active around the gym either. It's been a tough month!!! Okay so some very important information below [bullet point form then after explained in paragraph form.]

1) Anda has left the gym.

2) My parents are considering having me change schools or being home-schooled.

3) I was in Romania last week because Isabel had an accident.

4) It's official that myself and Cristian are dating, going-out, a couple or whatever.

Okay so first one, Anda has indeed left the gym. I must point out that this is on a tempory basis only and she hopes to return at the start of the new season. At the minute we are both in the same situation brought on by our current school. The school fail to udnerstand why during the school week we need to train more than two hours a day and why we would need a revised timetable to be able to do this. I mean obviously all the top international elite gymnasts train two hours a day........ All the elite athletes are in the same postion right now, not just myself and Anda, there is this one guy who is the most awesome long distance/marathon runner, but like the rest of us he has to do a 6/7 hours at school and all the homework that comes with it as well as all the training he needs to do to keep in shape [which is working so well for him because he is HOTT!!!!] lol. So our parents [mine and Anda's] are looking into to other schools and home-schooling. When that change happens, it's likely that Anda will return to the gym. Until then she has joined a cheerleading squad where her gymnastic skills are going down really well.

So more about the trip to Romania. So last week [on Monday] we got a call from my Bunică [grandmother] saying Isabel [my younger sister, 13] had been training at the gym in Constanta when she had an accident and that she was now in hospitial. We literally dropped everything and got on the first flight possible. We were in that much of a rush that we didn't take any clothes in the hope that my Bunică would still have some of our old ones that we didn't bring to America. When we got off the plane in Bucuresti we got straight onto a train and headed for the hospital in Constanta. By the time we got there we were told Isabel was in surgery. Apparantly she was training her 1 1/2 Yurchenko, but had misplaced her hands on the vaulting table and then her hands slid off the vault and she ended uplanded on her back with no feeling in her legs. Thankfully the doctors worked their magic and Isabel was no left permanantly paralysed. She now has to remain in Romania for at least year to recieve physiotherapy on her legs. The doctors said it will be around 2 years before she will be able to start gymnastics again. Isabel is really positive about the whole thing, she said 'well at least now I can be as lazy as I want and no-one can tell me off for it. It's kinda of like a long holiday. During the winter just leave me inside and during the summer just leave me on the beach!' For the next 6 weeks or so she will be in a wheelchair, after that she will need crutches before she can start walking independantly again. Of course it could be less than that, it depends on her progress. Seeing as the current circumstances, I've also said that at least every 2-3 months I'm going to go out to Romania and spend some time with her, even if it is only shopping during the weekend or going down to the beach. My sister is sooo brave, she has inspired me so much that now I'm more determined to do well for her.
When I was out in Romania last week I also got to spend quite a lot of time with Cristian. He was so great, he was there when I needed him most. The first night I was there, he took me out for a meal, just so I could get away from the hospitial. I had a great time. He took my mind off Isabel and made sure I wasn't all depressed and sad. And yes folks, it is official that we are now dating or whatever. Only a few people new before [our closest and oldest friends back in Romania]. This was no disrespect to any of you guys, you are so sweet and such great friends and I'm close to all of you, it's just that we wanted to make sure everything was going to work out before we went broadcasting it all over the world!!! Cristian also decided that seeing as my parents are still in Romania with Isabel, he would come over here to keep me company till they got back. He's staying alone in that big old house my parents bought that I've spent like a week in. Not that I'm complaining, that house kind of gives me the creeps. He's also coming along to support the GSE girls at the Pixie Dust Boo Ha Ha or whatever the comp is called tomorrow. [[Good luck to Stasia and Taylor competing junior and to Madaline competing senior with me. Let's make them all eat OUR star dust!!!]]

Well I've gotta dash now anyway... I'm off to meet Cristian for a bit then I'm back in the gym for some training. It's great to be back girls, can't wait to see you all again... I feel like I've been gone forever!!!!

Take care, Dragoste
